Friday night the Metro Division had a clash of two titans.
Streetsboro, second in the division, and Norton, third in the division.
The Norton Panthers pounced the Rockets early on and didn't let up winning the game 60-51.
This week will be a similar matchup for the Panthers as they will host the first place Kent Roosevelt Rough Riders.
Not only did the Panthers beat the Rockets on Friday, but because of that win they now stand in second place in the Metro Division.
In the first meeting this year Kent had their way with Norton's perimeter defense by hitting 10 threes leading to a 64-60 win for the Rough Riders.
But the Panthers have something now that they didn't have in the January matchup, Aaron VanBuskirk.
The 6-foot-5 junior's length makes a difference whenever he is on the court.
If Norton wins on Friday that will earn them a share of the Metro title.
Prediction
Norton is riding high right now after an impressive win against Streetsboro, plus with VanBuskirk being healthy the Panthers win a close one, 65-60.
